Mr. Chipenzi says what is however lacking is information.

He says people need to be sensitized for them to realize the importance of having a new constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi notes that the other reason that the Grand Coalition strongly believes a successful constitution referendum is possible this year is the fact that the current Referendum Act only provides for a simple majority to adopt the entire constitution.

He says contrary to what government has been saying it is actually only part three of the constitution which is provided for under the Act to be subjected to a 50+1 majority vote if any alterations have been made.
