She has encouraged men and women in uniform to reassert their devotion to the mission of the Service and to the work that binds them together.

Mr. Libongani was speaking this morning in Kafue when the Zambia Police Paramilitary Intake of 1995 handed over a 25 x 8 meters barrack at the Paramilitary Battalion Headquarters to Zambia Police Paramilitary Unit.

The handed over barrack came into being from the initiative by Paramilitary Intake of 1995 which found it necessary to take part in resolving the accommodation challenge at Sondela for camping officers and recruits on transit for special duties and training respectively.

And Ms. Libongani has described the gesture as evidence that the spirit of unity and appreciation is present and alive among the 1995 Paramilitary Intake officers and the Zambia Police as whole.

He says the handed over barrack could not have come at the right time than now when the Zambia Police is faced with the challenge of inadequate accommodation.

Earlier representative of 1995 Paramilitary Intake Emma Nfuusani disclosed that the estimate cost of their donated barrack is K150, 000.

Senior Supretendant Nfuusani says her fellow officers thought of leaving something permanent for the Battalion owing to the fact that the Paramilitary Unit is what has made them who they are today.

She has since thanked cooperating partner for the financial and material support they gave towards the construction of the barrack.
