Discipline Chama- ZCSD urges President Lungu

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has joined President Edgar Lungu in observing the need to reflect and act on the careless conduct of some senior party members whose unpalatable behavior in society has gone unpunished.

ZCSD Executive Director Lewis Mwape says his organization is of the view that both government and the ruling party have failed to demonstrate serious action against PF senior members whose behavior and careless utterances have caused a lot of division in the country.

Mr. Mwape has told Qfm News in a statement that his organization is particularly referring to PF Secretary General Davies Chama who has been quoted to have made careless remarks that has sparked anger among the people of Southern Province.

He states that the ZCSD thinks that it is incumbent upon President Lungu to take necessary measures as the Head of State to resolve the damage caused by the ruling party’s officials.

The ZCSD Executive Director says his organization feels that Mr. Chama is a danger to democracy, national unity and peace and must henceforth be disciplined for his careless utterances.

He says President Lungu must demonstrate seriousness and show action against senior party cadres by dropping them or instituting any other corrective action.
