Visiting Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta says he will do everything possible within his powers to ensure that the economic ties between Zambia and Kenya are strengthened and enhanced to encourage trade and investment.

And Mr. Kenyatta has invited the business community in Zambia to take advantage of the trade fair that will take place in Nairobi, Kenya in September to showcase their products and service.

Mr. Kenyatta says this will be a best opportunity for business communities from both Zambia and Kenya to share and exchange ideas for economic growth.

Speaking during the official opening of the 51st International Trade Fair in Ndola this afternoon, Mr. Kenyatta says there is need for Zambia and Kenya to work harder together and ensure that the entrepreneurship of the young people is included in business so that the growing young population can play their role in the development of the African region.

He says the doors in Kenya are always open for Zambia’s investors to invest in that nation considering that the two countries have had mutual relations for a long period of time.

Mr. Kenyatta notes that government cannot do anything in the development of the nations if their policies are not favoring the businesses communities and thus the need for the two entities to work together in championing economic growth.
