Increasing of debt ceiling worries Saunders

Zambians have been urged to brace themselves for the worst following the move by Parliament to increase the debt ceiling from K35 billion to K60 billion.

Political Activist Dante Saunders says people should be worried that the people they have entrusted with power are slowly letting them down by doing things that will make their lives worse.

Mr. Saunders states that government is well aware that increasing the debt ceiling will ultimately affect the young generation who will have shoulder the burden of repaying the loans the country is contracting.

He says what is disheartening the most is the fact that borrowing does not translate into improved living conditions for the people of Zambia.
