LCC determined to keep Livingstone clean

The Livingstone City Council (LCC) says it is doing everything possible to control street vending in the city in a bid to keep the tourist capital clean.

LCC Public Relations Manager Emmanuel Sikanyika notes that street vending is one of the problems most local authorities are facing in the country and calls for effective modalities to control it.

Mr. Sikanyika says the Livingstone city council has tried to rid the streets of street vending by allocating marketeers designated places where they can conduct their businesses from.

He states that Livingstone is a tourist capital which should maintain its profile as such.
