CCZ won’t give President Lungu marks until constitution is delivered

REV MATALE

The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) says it will only give an assessment of President Edgar Lungu’s leadership performance when he delivers a new constitution to Zambian people.

CCZ Secretary General Suzanne Matale says the CCZ will give President Lungu a 100 percent pass mark if  he lives up to his promise to deliver a new constitution.

Reverend Matale has told Qfm News in an interview that this particularly that President Lungu promised the Zambian people that he will give them a constitution that they want.

She adds that President Lungu should also ensure that Zambia’s supreme law is adopted through a referendum as per the wish of the people.

Reverend Matale says the other things the President is doing are mere offshoots to the country having a new constitution before 2016.

She says the CCZ believes that President Lungu is a credible man of integrity and still has enough time to fulfill his new constitution promise to the people.
