Public policy analyst Mbita Chitala has advised government against allowing any further maize exports owing to seeming drought that has hit the country.
Dr. Chitala says government should ensure that the country has enough maize stock before contemplating to allow any exports.
He says his concerns is particularly that next year is an election year and therefore the country must have enough maize to avoid subjecting people to hunger during this period.
Dr. Chitala said this in an interview with Qfm News.
