ActionAid Zambia has urged government to put in place serious systems that will enable small business owners to remit taxes.

ActionAid Economic Justice Project Officer Kryticous Nshindano has told QFM News in an interview that the country is not generating the maximum income from businesses because there are no serious systems to monitor their activities.

Mr. Nshindano notes that there is need for government to make sure that Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) and other related institutions have the full capacity to monitor the operations of such nature

Mr. Nshindano also points out that the windfall tax may be one way of helping the country to collect enough tax from mining companies which are the largest business entities in the   country.
