Govt urged to tell the nation where President Sata is for medical checkup

Government has been called upon to tell the nation the where exactly President Michael Sata has gone to have his medical checkup.

Operation Young Votes (OVY) Executive Director Guess Nyirenda says this will help stop any speculation with regards where exactly the President has gone to have his medical checkup.

Mr Nyirenda says the people of Zambia are concerned that the statement about President’s travel abroad is hanging especially in view of two contradicting newspaper articles suggesting that he is in London with another claiming he is in Israel.

He says the people of Zambia deserve better and need to be told categorically where their Head of State is being attended to.

Mr Nyirenda says it is important for the Zambian people to know the whereabouts of their President.
