The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has called on Parliamentarians to pass a law limiting the numbers of times a person can be a presidential candidate in elections.
YALI President Andrew Nthewewe tells QTV News that this will promote democracy and give chance to the young people to also participate in the election.
Mr. Nthewewe says YALI has noted with great concern that some candidates more especially at the presidential level, have continued to be on the ballot paper a syndrome he says should be fought.
He says YALI feels there is need to have a law in place limiting the numbers of times a candidate can contest the election so that if they are not elected after making a stipulated number of attempts, they should step aside.
