Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has given ZAWA officers both in Siavonga and Chirundu districts up to Friday to bring down the lions that have continued killing cows in Siavonga and Chirundu districts.
Mr. Kanyama says people in Siavonga and Chirundu districts are living in fear of the lions in their areas.
He says pupils have also stopped going to school in some parts of Siavonga and Chirundu districts.
The Siavonga District Commissioner says if ZAWA officers fail to gun down the lions in the next 7 days, he will have no option but to notify the office of Permanent Secretary in the ministry of tourism and arts to allow individuals who have shown interest in killing these big cats.
