On Saturday yesterday the 27th of December UPND president Hakainde Hichilema started off his morning at Chief Kathumba’s palace before traveling to Chadiza.

In Chadiza Mr. Hichilema addressed a crowd at a market place in the support of Provincial Chairperson Alexander Miti.

Mr. Miti and the MMD Executive in their welcomed of Mr. Hichilema highlighted how much UPND support has been fostered in the region.

Chief Mnolo and Chief Zingalume also met with Mr. Hichilema in Chadiza.

The UPND leader then went to Chipata where he held a rally in the company of MMD Members of Parliament, Felix Mutati, Patrick Mucheleka and Victoria Kalima as well as former Eastern Province Minister Lameck Mangani and UPND vice president for politics Canicius Banda.

There the opposition leader reaffirmed his commitment to revamping the agriculture sector by making sure that farmers are paid on time and the delays on inputs are to put to an end.

He has also reiterated his vision of a United Zambia where each province will be assured of ministerial representation so that real representation can finally happen for all Zambians.

Mr. Hichilema is reported to have said that this concept of ministerial representation for all provinces has yet to be achieved in Zambia but that UPND looks forward to implementing this inclusive policy.

During his visit Mr. Hichilema further stated that once elected his party will form a government that is free from vindictiveness, revenge and political persecution.
