Political Analyst Dante Saunders says it is selfishness for any retired politician to make a political comeback.

Mr Saunders says such politicians want to comeback not to serve the people but to fulfill their own desires.

He states that the country needs to move away from the culture of recycling old people in leadership.

Mr. Saunders says old people should instead encourage the young generation to take up leadership roles.

He says former President Rupiah Banda’s political comeback is a disappointment.

Mr. Saunders says the future of the nation depends on the younger generation thus the need to assist the young people financially and materially so that they are ready to take over the leadership of the country.

He says the country cannot continue with a situation where people who have been in politics since independence are still competing for political office.

Mr Saunders states that the old generation politicians should only be there to provide advice and not be full time in politics.
