Ex Govt workers appeals to Lungu for terminal benefits

The Former Government Employees Association of Zambia has appealed to President-elect Edgar Lungu to help them get their terminal benefits.

The former employees who this morning staged a peaceful protest at Cabinet Office complained that they have been neglected for the past 19 years.

Association President Elijah Sakala says they would appreciate anything that government can afford to pay them.

Mr. Sakala says their families have been suffering especially with the high cost of living in the country.

He says it is sad that those in charge have not showed commitment to paying the former workers their benefits.
