Nkana restored their four-point lead at the summit of the Faz Super League table on Sunday, when they beat Lusaka Dynamos 3-0 at home in Kitwe.

The victory saw the early pacesetters continue to keep defending champions Zesco United at arms length on 15 and 19 points respectively.

Sunday’s win saw Nkana stay unbeaten in their opening seven games after picking up their sixth win of the season courtesy of a Walter Bwalya goal and a Guily Manziba brace.

Bwalya put Nkana ahead in the third minute when he converted a rather soft penalty after Manziba shook off a tame challenge from Dynamos defender Sydney Kasanda.

Dynamos had one great chance to equalise in the 15th minute when Mannaseh Soko’s free kick came off the woodwork.

The visitors’ wind was knocked out of their sails on the half hour mark when they lost striker Conlyde Luchanga with a suspected concussion as the game lost its spark.

Manziba broke the monotony with two late first-half strikes to give the Nkana fans something to cheer about.

His first came in the 42nd minute when he beat defender Edward Chimfwembe on the near post and three minutes later raced unabated through Dynamos’ defence to seal the three points for the 12-time champions.
