The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has challenged Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali to provide evidence that former Chief Justice Matthew Ngulube showed him some evidence against suspended DPP Mutembo Nchito.

And the ruling party has challenged Civil Society Organizations to utilize the funding they receive from the donor community to sensitize Zambians about the contents of the draft constitution.

Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka this morning, PF Media Committee and Publicity Vice Chairperson Sunday Chanda says Mr. Tayali should allow the Tribunal appointed by President Lungu to do its work without interference.

Mr. Chanda thinks that Mr. Tayali is attacking different people so that when he is proven guilty he will say it is because he was vocal about so many issues that is why he has been sent behind bars.

He says Mr. Tayali has a lot of time to redeem himself from the mess he is creating against himself.

He adds that the people are aware that Mr. Tayali is being used by the cartel to discredit the integrity of the members of the Tribunal appointed by President Lungu to probe Mr. Nchito.

And Mr. Chanda has also accused UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema of changing goal posts on the issue of suspended Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito.

He recalls that Mr. Hichilema sent UPND youths to demonstrate against Mr. Nchito and that he directed his Members of Parliament not to ratify the appointment of Mr. Nchito in parliament and wonders why he is supporting him now.

And the PF Media Committee and Publicity Vice Chairman has advised CSOs not to forget their core business and debate on the constitution making process fairly.

He says CSOs should not just sit in offices and make noise about the constitution making process but should be seen engaging the people on the grass root so that the people can participate effectively in the constitution making process.
