Panos Institute of southern Africa has called on civil society organizations to step up efforts in ensuring that political parties produce clear manifestos that are inclusive to all Zambians.
Panos Senior programmes officer for media development Gilles Kasongo has told qfm news in an interview that though some organizations have tried to set a tone on how best political party manifestos should be drafted more has to be done.
Mr. Kasongo explains that doing so will help win the people’s confidence.
He stresses that Zambians need to hear how leaders will improve their living standards and make the country a much better place stay.
Mr. Kasongo points out that it is in this regard that the civil society has an important role in the country’s political stability and acts a guide for the electorates to choose leaders of their choice without any intimidation.
