Swedish Envoy implores agencies to look into FIC report

Swedish Ambassador to Zambia, Henrik Cederin has implored law enforcement agencies to carefully look into the 2017 report of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC).

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Cederin says the law enforcement agencies have a task to complete by looking into the findings of the damning FIC report.

He says the findings of possible corruption; money laundering and tax evasion as revealed by the report are alarming.

Mr Cederin notes the important role the FIC plays by publishing its yearly findings.

He adds that upholding accountability is the next step now that the 2017 Financial Intelligence Centre financing trends report is in public domain.
