Late Gender Minister Victoria Kalima

Thousands of people paid their last respects to the late Gender Minister Victoria Kalima to the as she was being laid to rest on Saturday.

Speaking on behalf of the State Acting President Inonge Wina during the ceremony which took place at Anglican cathedral of the holy cross in Lusaka described late Kalima as a hard worker as evidenced by her contribution to various development activities of the country.

Ms. Wina says the late kalima was a hard working woman, who worked tirelessly in fostering women’s rights in the country.

Ms. Wina who joined thousands of mourners in paying her last respect to the late kalima challenged women and young people in the country to emulate the attributes of late gender Minister Victoria kalima.

Ms Kalima, 46, died at Maina Soko Military Hospital and the nation is observing a three-day mourning period in her honour which has been has accorded by President Edgar Lungu.
