Veteran politician and former southern province Minister Daniel Mukombwe has died.
Mr Mukombwe 86, died this morning around 09:40 hours in the Livingstone Central hospital where he was admitted.
Southern province Minister Edify Hamukale has confirmed the death of Mr Mukombwe who had been battling lung cancer.
He was at one point evacuated to South Africa for treatment by the government.
Mr Mukombwe served in almost all the governments from the time the country attained independence in 1964.
His death comes just days after the country lost Gender Minister Victoria Kalima who died on Monday, 11th june,2018.
