Kanyama advises to revisit FIC Act of 2016

Economist Chibamba Kanyama has observed the need to revisit the Financial Intelligence Center Act of 2016 in order to clearly define its mandate.

Mr. Kanyama, who is also Bridges Limited Managing Consultant, tells QTV News that the nation should be careful and not release information that may compromise the confidence of investors which may worry them that their investment is not safe.

Mr. Kanyama has also advised the government that if they have issues with the center, it is important to engage FIC indoors and not publicly.

He says the government created the FIC and so if they feel the center is closing its limit it is important that the act that establishes this institution is revisited.
