The ministry of lands and natural resources will immediately dispatch the 300 invitations to treat for the ex-miners to the Copperbelt office as it resolves to release the invitations on a monthly basis.

Announcing the development ministry public relations officer, Diniwe Zulu says the ministry has been allocating plots to the ex- miner as land is made available.

Ms Zulu says that the last allocations were in Lufwanyama where 1000 plots have been created and 300 invitations to treat have been generated and will be distributed through the miners’ representatives.

She states that the ministry had intended to build up the number of invitations to treat before issuing them to the ex-miners.

She therefore states that going forward the ministry has resolved to be releasing the invitations to treat on a monthly bass starting with the month of July.

Ms Zulu has since reiterated government’s commitment to ensuring that the ex-miners are issued with land records further appealing to the ex-miners to exercise patience as the ministry of lands and Natural resources is working on their documents.
