The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) has cautioned show goers during the Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial show in Kitwe to be quality conscious and ensure that they buy products that will not pose health risks to them.

Agency Public Relations Officer Lee Haamunji tells QFM News from Kitwe via telephone that there is need for consumers and the show goers take precautions and ensure they buy products that are safe so that they do not risk their health.

Mr. Haamunji says usually, there are a lot of products that are sold during the show and sometimes consumers and show goers do not take quality precautions in their purchases.

He says the agency is concerned about the safety and quality of the products that are sold on the market and as such it will continue conducting market surveillance to ensure that the products are safe and meet the required parameters and standards.
