UPND is misleading it has election petition in Court – Lubinda

Justice Minister Given Lubinda has advised the opposition UPND to stop misleading the nation that they have an election petition case before the Courts of Law.

Mr. Lubinda says what the UPND have before the Lusaka High Court is the right to be heard case.

He says the UPND election petition case was thrown out by the Constitutional Court in September last year leading to swearing in of President Edgar Lungu as duly elected Republican President.

Mr Lubinda says it is unfortunate that the UPND is going round calming their supporters that there is an election petition case is still before the courts of law.

The Justice Minister adds that it is wrong for the opposition party to continue claiming that they will not recognize President Edgar Lungu because their election petition case is still active in the courts of law.
