UPND SG STEPHEN KATUKA
The opposition UPND has shifted back the blame to the ruling Patriotic Front and the Zambia Police for the loss of life in Kanyama on Sunday were Police stopped the party from going ahead with its planned rally.
UPND Secretary Genera Stephen Katuka says this is especially that the PF had warned of bloodshed if the UPND was allowed to hold its rally.
In an interview with QTV News, Mr Katuka the Police should equally be blamed for the death of Stephen Kalipa because it failed to provide security to the people who wanted to attend the UPND rally.
He says this is considering that the Police had sealed off the venue of the planned rally as early as 05:00hours.
Mr Katuka states that insinuations that the UPND has taken to killing people as a means of venting its anger over its 2016 election defeat are nonsensical.
