All our actions are within the law- Zambia Police

The Zambia Police says all its actions are within the law as mandated by the Republican Constitution.

Spokesperson Esther Katongo says it is therefore not possible for the Police to act in an unprofessional manner in the discharge of duties.

Ms Katongo says the Zambia Police is a law enforcement institution and therefore does not work outside the law.

Ms. Katongo has told QTV News that people should therefore be assured that the actions of the Police are always backed the law.

She states that the public should also be reminded that the Police are also tasked with the mandate of ensuring that law and order in Zambia prevails as a body charged with internal national security.

Ms. Katongo says this means therefore that the Police will never become an enemy of the people.

She has advised that all what citizens ought to do on the other hand is to be law abiding.
