Zesco United’s 2017 MTN FAZ Super League opening two matches with Konkola Blades and Nakambala Leopards have been postponed due a clash of fixtures with the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Ndola-based outfit was scheduled to play newly promoted Konkola Blades and Nakambala Leopards on 8 and 15 April in Ndola and Mazabuka respectively but both matches will now be played at later, yet to be confirmed, dates.

Zesco United will play Nigerian champions Enugu Rangers over two legs in the play-off round of the Caf Confederation Cup during the same weekends they were scheduled to play the two MTN FAZ Super League sides.

The first leg will take place at the Nnandi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday, April 9 while the second leg is scheduled for Friday, April 14 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Zesco United Media and Public Relations Officer Katebe Chengo told supersport.com that the team departs for Nigeria on Wednesday, April 5 and is expected to return to Ndola on Tuesday, April 11 ahead of the second leg on Friday.
