Corruption has robbed Government Printers of ballot papers contracts

People party president Mike Mulongoti has charged that corruption has prevented the Government Printers from being awarded contracts to print ballot papers despite its capacity to do so.

Mr. Mulongoti who once served as works and supply Minister under whose ministry the facility fell under has told Qfm news that the Government printers has adequate equipment and staff to print ballot papers.

He says the PF Government has always known that the Government printers is capable of printing ballot papers, but still insisted on printing ballot papers for last year’s elections outside the country.

Mr Mulongoti states that the continued printing of ballot papers outside the country is robbing the country of economic development.

He has since urged the PF government to ensure the government printers is awarded the contract to print ballot papers.
