Fourth Revolution President Erick Chanda has appealed to President Edgar Lungu to approach the mine crisis on the Copperbelt with a revolutionary mind.

Mr. Chanda says President Lungu should ensure that the mining machinery and other equipment in the mining industry is not tempered with citing that it is definite that these investors may decide to take the machinery from the country to other countries.

He notes that if this happens, it will be difficult for the country to bring back the mines to life thus it is important to safeguard the country’s machinery as the country looks for alternatives adding that the investors have nothing to lose even they take away the machinery from the country.

Mr. Chanda stresses that the country has a lot to lose if investors take away the machinery from the country adding that if the machinery I protected; it will be easy for the country to move on even when they investors decided to go back.

He has further urged President Lungu to consult with various stakeholders on how to go about dealing with these mines so that whatever decision will be arrived at will be a concerted one that will benefit the people of Zambia.
