Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama says it is not up to the ruling party to guarantee the people’s aspirations in the new Constitution.

Mr. Chama says now that the two Constitution Bills have passed Second Reading in Parliament, the onus is with all Members of Parliament to guarantee the people’s aspirations.

He has told Qfm News by telephone that Zambians should now wait for Parliamentarians to debate the Bills.

Mr. Chama says as Chief Executive Officer of the ruling party, he has no problem with whatever document Members of Parliament will produce.

He says this is especially that currently, Zambia has no constitution crisis as the country still has a fully functional supreme law.

Mr. Chama states that what the people of Zambia need is the delivery of services and having access to clean water, good shelter, food and employment.
