ZCID disappointed PF cadres that attacked UPND Kitwe offices have not been arrested

The Zambia Center for Inter Party Dialogue (ZCID) is disappointment by the failure by the Police to arrest suspected PF cadres who attacked the UPND offices in Kitwe after.

ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando says it is disappointing that while Police have arrested UPND cadres who attacked Vice President Inonge Wina’s family home in Nalolo they have failed to arrest PF cadres who attacked the UPND offices in Kitwe.

Mr. Chilando has explained told QFM News that it is such unfair application of the law that some people opt to engage in violent activities because they seem not to be protected by the law.

He questions the modality behind the arrest and charging of UPND cadres by Police while they fail to arrest the PF cadres who first attacked their opponents’ offices.

He has demanded that Police stop this kind of unfair application of law if sanity is to be restored in the political arena.

Mr. Chilando says Police should always strive to apply the law fairly in order to create a conducive environment of doing politics in Zambia.
