SACCORD condemns PF, UPND for perpetrating violence

The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has condemned the continued political violence by the ruling Patriotic Front and the opposition UPND.

SACCORD Acting Executive Director Edgar Mainza has since advised the two political parties to settle for dialogue.

He SACCORD is concerned that the political violence if allowed to continue has the potential to plunge the country into anarchy.

Mr. Mainza says there is serious need for politicians to find a political solution to their differences especially as the country goes to the polls next year.

He states that political parties should take all necessary measures and precautions to prevent the perpetration of violence in order to maintain peace in the country.

Mr. Mainza says since advised Political parties to ensure there members adhere to the rule of law.

Mr. Mainza has also observed that Police biasness towards the ruling party has also contributed to the increase in political violence the country is experiencing.
