The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has urged Members of Parliament to have the interest of the Zambian people as they begin to debate on the Constitution Bill this week.

FODEP Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi says what the people of Zambia want is a people driven constitution and not piece meal amendment of the constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi says Zambians must demand respect for their freedoms through the enactment of a people driven constitution with the Bill of rights contained therein.

Mr. Chipenzi further states that any country and leadership committed to democratic principles will prioritize human freedoms and rights in this case contained in the Bill of rights.
