UPND speaks for retirees

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani has called on government to pay retirees their retirement packages on time.

Mr. Mapani says retirees are struggling to survive under the current economic situation because they have not yet been paid their benefits.

He has recalled that President Lungu in the run up to the January 15th presidential by-election assured retirees in the country that he will ensure that their packages are paid on time but that many of them have still not been paid.

Mr Mapani wonders how retirees will survive when those still in employment are struggling to make ends meet.
