President Lungu to attend FOCAC this December

President Edgar Lungu is expected to be among other leaders that will attend this year’s Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit which runs from the 4th to the 5th of December in South Africa.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon are other leaders that are scheduled to attend the summit which marks its 15th anniversary this year.

The upcoming summit is the first one to be held in Africa.

It is anticipated to play a great role in enhancing China-Africa unity and promote bilateral cooperation between China and African countries.

This is in addition to opening up to the future and bringing tangible benefits to all participating countries and their peoples.

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Yang Youmin is tomorrow the 23rd of November at 15:00hrs scheduled to hold a media briefing to give highlights and other relevant details of the summit.
