Mr. Hamududu is concerned that the number of jobs being reported have been lost in the mines has far reaching ramifications on the survival of the individuals that have lost the jobs.

In an interview with Qfm News Mr. Hamududu has stressed the need for government to find an amicable solution that will protect jobs in the mines.

Mr. Hamududu who is also Bweengwa Member of Parliament has advised government to facilitate a win-win solution to concerns that mines have raised on taxation and on other fiscal issues.

He thinks that there are a few lessons that the PF government can learn from what the MMD government did in the last global economic melt down.

Mr. Hamududu has recalled that during that economic crisis the MMD government averted job loses in the mines by engaging investors in arriving at amicable solutions.

He has advised that the PF government can do the same especially that the copper price has not reached a point where mines should shut down operations.
