Respect opposition, Sinkamba tells PF

Green Party President Peter Sinkamba has called on the Patriotic Front Government to respect opposition political parties.

And Mr. Sinkamba has called on his fellow opposition political leaders to embrace democracy as this is a pillar upon which peace and stability will be built.

Mr. Sinkamba says there is a need to refocus on the role political parties are playing by ensuring that the country does not lose track of the democratic principles going into the future.

Mr. Sinkamba says if political parties are to add value to democracy at national level, it is imperative that they embrace peace and unity.

He states a political party that has a deficit of internal democracy cannot be expected to practice democracy at a national level if it is in government or assumes power.

Mr. Sinkamba has lamented political happenings on the Copperbelt describing the situation as sad.
