Lungu mourns Chief Lukwesa

President Edgar Lungu says he has learnt with deep sorrow of the untimely death of Chief Lukwesa of the Lunda People of Mwense District of Luapula Province.

In a message of condolences conveyed to Luapula Province Minister, Brigadier General Benson Kapaya, the PresiEL HEdent wished the bereaved family and the people of Mwense District God’s solace and strength.

He has on behalf of the Government, the people of Zambia and on his own conveyed deepest sorrow and condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and people of Mwense District.

This is contained in a statement issued to QFM News by the President’s special assistant for press and public relations Amos Chanda.

Chief Lukwesa who was born Diuru Kanyembo died in Ndola Central Hospital on Monday after an illness.

He was installed as Chief Lukwesa on 25th July, 2015.
