Lungu mourns North western province Police Chief

President Edgar Lungu says he has learnt with deep sadness the passing away of North Western province Police Commissioner Grace Chipalila who died in the early hours of Saturday, 14th November, 2015.

The President says Ms Chipalila’s loyalty and distinguished service to the Zambia Police Service in particular and to the Republic of Zambia will be greatly missed.

In a message of condolences to the Inspector General of Police, the Head of State has extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family on this tragic loss.

The President prayed that during this difficult period the family may find comfort and strength in the Almighty God.

The Head of State this mourning attended the Requiem Mass at St Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Lusaka, in honour of the Commissioner of Police.

This is according to a statement issued to QFM News by the President’s special assistant for press and public relations Amos Chanda.
