Chief Lukwesa of the Lunda people of Mwense District in Luapula province has died.
The traditional leader died yesterday at Ndola Central Hospital after an illness.
Senior Chief Mwata Kazembe of the Lunda people of Luapula province announced the death of Chief Lukwesa through his political advisor and trustee Peter Chanshi.
He says burial will take place on Wednesday at a place to be chosen by the Mwata.
Chief Lukwesa who was born Diuru Kaniembo on 17th July,1964 was the immediate younger brother of Mwata Kazembe.
He was installed as Chief Lukwesa by the Mwata on 25th July,2015.
