AVAP urges Zambians to take advantage of extended voter registration

The Anti-Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) has urged eligible Zambians to take advantage of the extended mobile voter registration exercise and register as voters.

AVAP Executive Director Richwell Mulwani has also appealed to political parties to help encourage people to register as voters.

He says AVAP has come up with a program dubbed “Speaking through the ballot box, Go Vote Goal” aimed at encouraging eligible voters to register so they could participate in next year’s general election.

Mr. Mulwani states that non-governmental organizations should help encourage people to register as voters.

He pledges that their outreach program would enlighten many Zambians more especially in rural area to register as voters ahead of the 2016 general elections.
