Islamic Leader advises PF to embrace new members

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia says it is a good thing for the ruling party to embrace everyone despite where they are coming from.

Supreme Council President Suzyo Zimba says if those that are being embraced are able to contribute to overcoming the challenges that the country is facing, they cannot be left out just because they belong to or belonged to the opposition.

Mr. Zimba says Zambia is beyond politics hence it is important that the appointment that the president makes and whatever decisions he makes are made in the interest of the people of Zambia and not to please anyone.

He adds that right now, the country has a lot of issues to address and it is important that the president identifies those that can help provide solutions and bring them on board regardless of where they are coming from as what is important is addressing the challenges.

He says that any meaningful Zambian will support decisions aimed at addressing the challenges that the country is facing.

Mr. Zimba has further urged the president to continue identifying who to work with in moving the country forward.
