A fuel shortage has reportedly hit Livingstone District

A fuel shortage has reportedly hit Livingstone District in Southern Province with some filling stations with the commodity rationalizing their sells to customers.

Information reaching Qfm News from Livingstone suggests that only Kobil and Mount Meru filling stations have the commodity.

One of the motorists Chila Sitambiza has told Qfm News by telephone that at Kobil filling station where he went to refuel his vehicle this afternoon vehicles were only being allowed to buy 5 litres worthy of fuel.

And UPND Livingstone District Chairperson Nato Halwabala fears that having such a fuel crisis will only compound the already bad economic situation in the tourist capital.

He has wondered were fuel shortage in the tourist capital has emanated from crisis when Energy Minister Dora Siliya this morning assured the nation that the Country will not have fuel shortages in view of expected shutdown of Indeni oil refinery on Sunday.
