The power utility company Zesco Limited has commissioned a power station in Mpongwe District on the Copperbelt to improve the voltage in the district.

ZESCO Spokesperson Henry Kapata says the target for the company is the people of Mwanga Village where there are a lot of people who need new connections.

Mr. Kapata has told QFM News that the company expects over 40 new connections around the same area.

He notes that Mpongwe is growing at a fast pace thus the need for the power utility company to take electricity services closer to the people for them to operate with easy.

He adds that ZESCO will construct a new Zesco branch office for easy accessibility to power services.
