Italian envoy hopeful Zambian economy will get better

Italian Ambassador to Zambia Filippo Scammacca del Murgo says he is hopeful Zambia’s economic outlook will improve.

Mr. Murgo still thinks that the Country’s current challenges of power deficits and volatile exchange rate are temporal setbacks.

And Mr. Murgo has reiterated his pledge to deepen bilateral ties between his Country and Zambia for the mutual benefit of both countries.

Mr. Murgo says Zambia is one of Italy’s prime investment destinations.

He notes that several Italian companies and investors are keen about investing in Agriculture and in Energy among other sectors of the Zambian economy.
