ECZ extends Mobile Voter Registration in eleven districts

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has extended Mobile Voter Registration for seven days in districts where the exercise was suspended due to by-elections.

The by-elections were held on the 24^th September in Lubansenshi and Solwezi West constituencies and in nine council wards across the country.

ECZ Public Relations Manager Cris Akufuna has told QFM News in a statement that the seven days extension which will be from 13^th to 19^th November, 2015 is meant to compensate for the period that the voter registration was suspended during the respective by-elections.

Mr. Akufuna says the affected districts are Solwezi, Luwingu, Mwinilunga, Shangombo, Chilubi, Mulobezi, Sikongo, Lundazi, Lufwanyama and Chilanga Municipal and district councils.
