Mwamba encourages Zambians abroad to be proud of own Country

Mr. Emmanuel Mwamba and wife, Mrs. Monde Mwamba at the dinner dance hosted by the Zambia Association in South Africa (ZASA) to welcome him and Deputy High Commissioner to South Africa, Ms. Philomena Kachesa.

Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba has called on Zambians living in the Diaspora to take interest in telling the story about Zambia wherever they are.

Mr. Mwamba says no one will tell the story about Zambia’s remarkable peace and the fact that it has never been at war with itself or with any other country.

He has wondered who will tell the story about how a friendly and jovial the people Zambians are if the Zambians themselves do not tell it.

Mr. Mwamba states that it is up to Zambians themselves when they are in the Diaspora to testify that they are a prayerful, fasting and God-fearing nation.

He says no one else will change the narrative of Zambia and on Zambia if Zambians themselves do not do it.

Mr. Mwamba however notes just telling the Zambian story does not in itself take away the challenges that Zambia is going through.

He says what will however happen after telling the story about Zambia is the positive change of the mindsets with the conviction that the challenges that the country going through will be overcome.

Mr. Mwamba has urged Zambians to emulate other countries whose nationals are proud and always strive to speak positively about their countries.

He was speaking at a dinner dance hosted by the Zambia Association in South Africa (ZASA) to welcome him and his Deputy Philomena Kachesa.

The two recently took up their offices at the Zambian Mission in Pretoria.

Mr. Mwamba took up the position after his appointment while Ms. Kachesa moved to Pretoria from Paris.
