PROTUZ says loadshedding can lead to poor performance of pupils

The Professional Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ) says the current load shedding being experienced in the country could lead to poor performance by pupils in examination classes.

PROTUZ General Secretary Albert Muyembe says this is because pupils have had their evening studying timetable affected by the load shedding.

He says parents who have not provided alternative lighting means for their children risk them performing badly during 2015 examinations.

Mr. Muyembe states that government should on the other hand provide generators to schools more especially boarding schools so that students have enough time to study.
