Mongu based NGO encourages youths to register as voters

Youth in Christ, a Mongu based Christian organization has encouraged young people to register as voters.

Youth in Christ Executive Director Joe Masiliso says it is the right of every Zambian to register as a voter thus young people should exercise their democratic right by registering and take part in next year’s general election.

Mr. Masiliso notes that next year’s elections will be very important hence the need for the youth to register as voters and be able to chose leaders of their choice.

He has also encouraged young people to aspire for political office at different levels, stressing that time is now for youths to aspire for higher leadership positions.

He says the country now needs a new crop of leaders hence it is important that young people begin to position themselves by first registering as voters.

Mr. Masiliso has urged youths not to allow anyone to look down on them.
